Info
EEEGR has
gone from strength to strength since it was formed in 2001 to promote the
region’s energy industry which was primarily along the east coast between
Bacton in North Norfolk and Waveney in Suffolk.Since then its remit has grown to embrace the whole of the
East of England and to include all types of energy sources whether it be the
relatively young renewables sector or the well-established oil and gas
industry.
It has some 180
members ranging from the oil and gas majors to the smaller companies who make
up the supply chain and its supporters come from local authorities and various
academic and business organisations.
EEEGR strives to
achieve its ambitions for the region’s energy industry through a number of
avenues.Regular newsletters report members’ latest developments, networking
breakfasts promote good contacts, and conferences give members the opportunity
to meet industry leaders and hear their plans first hand.
EEEGR’s website (www.eeegr.com) has become a valuable way of
keeping members abreast of industry issues and supplying them with information
and contacts. The Mapergy
facility gives companies instant access to suppliers or people with whom they
can do business and the membership directory is a huge source of information on
members’ activities. More recent additions are Focus East (focuseast.com),
Skills for Energy (skillsforenergy.com),
and Industry News through www.eeegr.com
Focus East

Energy presents the results and recommendations in a wide-ranging report,
supported by EEEGR, about the state of the regional energy industry’s
workforce.
